FEATURE LEATHER

The Japan Leather Award was established by the JLIA to bring creators closer to consumers, enhance product development capability directly related to market needs, and to reward professionals. The award widely invites applications with entry products made by domestic businesses and using domestic natural leather. Award is given to the best of each category and the best of all entries. All entries are published free of charge in a magazine sold at all bookstores nationwide.The award returns this year to provide another opportunity for the recognition of the quality of domestic leather and the discovery and nurturing of talents that can shoulder the leather industry.

日本の皮革産業に新しいステージを。

社団法人日本皮革産業連合会によって創り手と消費者の距離を近づけ、市場ニーズに直結した商品開発力の強化を目的に、プロ向けの顕彰事業として「JAPAN LEATHER AWARD」は創設された。国産の天然皮革を使用し、国内の事業者が製造した製品を広く募集。各部門賞及び最優秀賞を選定する。応募全作品は全国の書店で販売予定の雑誌に無料で掲載。国産皮革の良さを再認識し、皮革産業を担う人材の発掘・育成の場として今年度も開催されている。

アッパーは仕上げ方によって質感に変化を、両サイドの表と裏革の間に革を入れる事で、サイドが崩れない様にしました。本底はヒールへの曲線が特徴。履き心地が良く、手をかける事で革本来の質感に「味」を加えました。

The upper part is designed so that the feel of the leather changes where leather is placed between the outer and inner leather on both sides, maintaining the shape of the sides. The sole features a curve toward the heel. These shoes are comfortable to wear thanks to detailed attention made to create a flavor from the natural texture of leather.
